Innovative Fasteners: Revolutionizing the Industry
Skybolt’s commitment to innovation is reflected in our extensive patent portfolio. In 1993, we introduced high-tech manufacturing processes that led to the development of groundbreaking ¼-turn fasteners. These adjustable designs earned us three US Patents and were swiftly integrated into the FAA approval process for certified aircraft.
The Leading Source for Cowling Fasteners
Skybolt quickly became the go-to source for various cowling fastener variations used in commercial aircraft. To further improve quality, strength, and finish, we brought the manufacturing of industry-standard cowling fasteners in-house. This transition allowed us to innovate freely.
Revolutionizing Aerospace with Skytanium®
One of our most significant innovations is the Skytanium® alloy, developed in-house. Skytanium® reduces weight by 40% to 50% while maintaining the MIL-F-5591C and NASM5591 strength standards. This breakthrough has far-reaching implications, from enhancing the efficiency of helicopters and UAVs to making a substantial impact on programs like the Boeing 787 and Airbus 320-350.
