COWLING HARDWARE

Skybolt completed a beautiful RV4 in 1995. We designed our cowling with SKYLOC 1/4 Turn Fasteners by following the basic instructions from Vans Aircraft as if we were installing hinge. The hinge design is great for economics, but after 100 to 200 hours, you may wish hinge was never a design consideration.

Installed correctly, the SKYLOC SK40S5 Series Fasteners will achieve the same clean lines as the hinge yet allow you access to remove & install the cowling with ease. What a concept! If you can install a platenut in a panel fastened with a machine screw, our fastener installation is no different or complicated to install.
